Job Description:
Southland Credit Union is seeking a versatile Floating Assistant Manager to join our team. This role requires the flexibility to work at various Southland Credit Union service center and branch locations, both in person and remotely, as needed. The Floating Assistant Manager will provide expert assistance to Members and potential Members, addressing their Credit Union needs and offering guidance on various Credit Union services, including loans, memberships, IRAs, e-services, credit cards, and CRM. This position also involves ensuring compliance with procedures, processes, and managing cost control and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Members with account opening and closing, resolve inquiries about products and services, and address issues within their authority.
- Independently manage branch daily operations, including Saturdays, in the absence of branch management.
- Provide support to other Branch Service Representatives on complex product and regulatory matters.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for ancillary products and services.
- Maintain records such as Member Account information and prepare required reports.
- Monitor branch activities for compliance, including branch opening and closing policies and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between Members and various organizations and departments.
- Collaborate with the Regional Branch Director on tasks/projects when not assigned to a branch.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: Two to five years of relevant experience.
- Education: A two-year college degree or related experience.
Interpersonal Skills:
This role requires a high level of trust, confidentiality, and diplomacy, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Extensive personal contact with others and dealing with sensitive matters is common. Motivating or influencing others may be part of the job, and fostering strong relationships with external entities is necessary.
Other Skills:
- Strong communication skills for both speaking and writing.
- Working knowledge of regulations related to Credit Union deposit products (e.g., Reg E, Reg CC, Reg D, BSA, Truth in-Savings Act, etc.).
- Proficiency with 10-key calculators, typewriters, computer keyboards, and related software.

Salary Pay Scale: $31.78 to $39.73 per hour

- Maximum Salary: $47.67 per hour
