Job Description:

Are you a visual storyteller who knows how to captivate an audience through videography, photography, sound design, color, and imagery? Starke Marketing is seeking a creative and dynamic Content Creator to join our team in South Pasadena, CA. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in conveying compelling narratives that engage and convert audiences for both Starke Marketing and our valued clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Storytelling

• Understand client objectives and craft visual narratives that entice audiences to become customers.
• Organize, communicate, and storyboard project visions for effective collaboration.
• Research and comprehend target demographics to create appealing messages.
• Employ creative approaches to reach diverse audience segments.
• Demonstrate a strong grasp of storytelling structures, from set-up to climax and resolution.
• Collaborate with teams to craft messaging for specific subjects, projects, or goals.

Videography

• Swiftly capture content at a moment’s notice.
• Utilize a wide range of equipment (DSLR, audio devices, lighting, etc.) without compromising quality.
• Recognize the significance of content and equipment redundancy.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and provide clear direction to the team.
• Prioritize delivering high-quality work without cutting corners.
• Thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.
• Confidently direct talent and crew throughout pre-production, production, and post-production.
• Multitask effectively when working with crew members.
• Harness creative thinking and maintain impeccable attention to detail.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and production team collaboration.
• Proficient in post-production techniques.
• Physically capable of handling recording equipment for extended periods.
• Adept at using computer software for planning, editing, and scripting.

Content Creation

• Distinguish between short-form and long-form content.
• Break down long-form scripts into smaller content pieces for ad creatives, retargeting campaigns, and social promotions.
• Skillfully integrate graphics and text that align with the content’s style.
• Knowledgeably use stock footage when required.
• Efficiently incorporate stock video and photos without detracting from the video’s message.
• Produce content promptly to meet client needs and campaign deadlines.
• Provide guidance to team members to meet various project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of active filming experience with a DSLR, Mirrorless, or Video camera.
• A minimum of 5 years of active experience working with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Ability to create engaging scripts in line with project goals and target audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in export settings and video optimization for different platforms (e.g., YouTube, web, social media).

Workload:

• Full-Time; Salary
• 40 hours/week, including occasional weekends
• Some projects may involve travel to various locations across the country on weekdays and weekends.

Visual Demands:

• Extended periods of looking at computer monitors, video/DSLR cameras, typing, sitting, listening, and reading.

Physical Demands:

• Repetitive hand motions at a computer keyboard.
• Sitting and standing for 7-8 hours per day.
• Occasional listening and speaking on the telephone, in-person meetings, and virtual meetings.
• Occasional business conducted at other offices or offsite.
• Transportation may be required.
• Ability to reach, grasp, pull, bend, and occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
