Job Description:

United Trust Bank is looking for a Bank Teller to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while completing deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve customers by completing account transactions.
• Provide account services such as receiving deposits, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, and recording night and mail deposits.
• Answer customer questions in person or on the telephone and refer customers to other bank services as needed.
• Record transactions, including cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks, and other special services, and prepare currency transaction reports.
• Cross-sell bank products and services by answering inquiries, informing customers of new offerings, ascertaining customer needs, and directing customers to branch representatives.
• Complete special requests like closing accounts, taking orders for checks, opening and closing Christmas and vacation clubs, exchanging foreign currencies, and providing special statements, copies, and referrals.
• Reconcile cash drawer, count and package currency and coins, and reconcile loan coupons and other transactions.
• Maintain a supply of cash and currency and turn in excess cash and mutilated currency to the head teller.
• Comply with bank operations and security procedures, participate in all dual-control functions, maintain customer traffic surveys, audit other tellers’ currency, and assist in the certification of proof.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Six months consecutive customer service experience in financial services, retail sales, or a goal-oriented environment preferred
• Banking experience is strongly preferred
