Job Description:
The Relationship Associate at the Encino Branch of City National Bank is a pivotal role responsible for delivering exemplary client service, managing operational tasks, and providing sales consultation to clients on a daily basis. This position requires expertise in all aspects of client service, proficiency in cashiering, and the ability to analyze client needs for cross-selling opportunities. The Relationship Associate is a key player in retaining profitable clients, promoting solutions, opening new accounts, and contributing to branch sales and service objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Service Champion: Act as a champion for clients and colleagues by providing exceptional service. Collaborate with colleagues across various bank divisions to support client retention objectives and proactively recommend suitable solutions.
- Operational Integrity: Work as part of a cohesive unit to service client transactions while upholding the operational integrity of the branch as defined by management and bank policy. Execute all daily processes, including cash handling responsibilities.
- New Account Management: Be fully proficient in delivering all components related to new accounts, including account maintenance, service requests, and risk management. Identify cross-sell opportunities for City National Bank products and services during the new account process.
- Sales Support: Support sales colleagues in building and maintaining branch client relationships. Work with business partners to deliver solutions for client relationship growth and identify cross-selling opportunities to maximize banking office profitability.
- Professional Interaction: Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of bank personnel, corporate and bank clients, demonstrating a commitment to quality client service.
- Compliance: Ensure that all decisions are consistent with bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations. Maintain collaboration with the City Loan Center (“CLC”) and sales partners.
- Regulatory Adherence: Comply fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Must-Have:
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
- Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience.
- Minimum 1 year of basic computer experience (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Skills and Knowledge:
- General knowledge of Bank operations, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- General knowledge of Bank products and services.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
- Starting base salary: $16.66 – $25.02 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
